Night fell over Gwrych Castle...
...casting long shadows across its ancient stone walls. Deep within the castle lay a chamber that had been sealed for hundreds of years, its door untouched for reasons lost to time. Whispers of terror lingered, telling of a child possessed by a dark force, whose presence had brought death and despair. In desperation, the child was banished and locked away in that very chamber. Yet, the spirit was said to linger, appearing from time to time, a haunting reminder of the castle’s cursed past.
The door had remained locked—until now. A group of determined souls had gathered, ready to confront the horrors that lay within. The chamber had to be opened to perform a cleansing ritual that would finally put the restless spirit to rest. But first, they needed to awaken it.
As the key turned in the ancient lock, the door creaked open, revealing only darkness. Stepping inside, they began the ritual, chanting the incantation to summon the spirit. The air grew colder, and their candles flickered out as a chilling wind swept through the room.
Suddenly, the door slammed shut behind them, trapping them inside. A ghostly whisper filled the air, growing louder until it became a sinister laugh. Then, out of the darkness, a pair of glowing eyes appeared, and a voice, cold and filled with malice, echoed through the chamber:
"You should never have awakened me..."
